As leaders and pioneers in their respective areas, the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES-FAST) and Systems Limited have taken a new initiative under which IT experts from Systems Limited will work with senior faculty at NUCES-FAST to enhance and broaden the learning experience of final year students and postgraduates at NUCES-FAST.
Systems Limited will attempt to bring greater practical content to the curriculum through its carefully selected R&D initiatives and its rich experience of using current technology, processes and tools in delivering software systems to some of the leading corporations in Pakistan and in North America. NUCES-FAST with its strong faculty and its consistent history of producing some of the best IT graduates in the country will ensure that its students continue to receive instruction and practical training that maintains the required balance between theoretical and applied knowledge.
As part of this initiative, Systems Limited's Chief Architect, Khawaja Ahmad Saleem will be delivering lectures to the final year students of NUCES-FAST in Lahore according to the schedule below:
- Test Driven development and Unit Testing Frameworks
Thursday, 22nd October, 5:00-7:00 PM
- Code Optimization Techniques
Thursday, 5th November, 5:00-7:00 PM
- Service Oriented Architecture
Thursday, 19th November, 5:00-7:00 PM
Other lectures will be scheduled for early 2010, and the initiative will also sponsor best practices workshops and brain storming sessions with the students of NUCES-FAST.
Systems Limited will also work with curriculum designers at NUCES-FAST to suggest additions and revisions to the taught curricula for maintaining relevance in conformance with the demands of the market and directions of the IT industry. |
