The Spinning Unit Management System comprises of the following functional modules:

Raw Cotton Purchase Module
Raw cotton procurement is one of the processes of the spinning unit that requires pro-active management to ensure that the best raw-material has been acquired for optimal production. Spinning Unit Management System in conjunction with the robust workflow system, automatically initiates the tasks involved in the purchasing process. The application workflow distributes all the tasks to the concerned employees and automatically assists the purchasing authorities in making the right decision at the right time with ease.
The Raw Cotton Purchase Module provides features for managing the following processes:

Production and Lab Module
Production and Lab Module is a workflow based module that manages all the processes of the production unit. These include:

- Cone Winding Production
The module also handles scheduled and trigger-based lab tests. Lab recording processes are created on the basis of individual department, machine and category etc. The system generates MIS reports at all levels for better quality control. All the lab tests are fully configurable on the basis of due date/time, and interval. The module provides features for managing the processes related to Auto Sorter, Ring Wrapping, Cone Winding Wrapping, Daily Waste and Daily Bags stock.

Maintenance Module
The Maintenance Module handles both scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance. Maintenance recording process is created on the basis of individual department, machine, and category etc. Various MIS reports are produced at all levels for better maintenance management. The Maintenance Module is a workflow based module in which all maintenance tasks are fully configurable on the basis of duedate and interval. All the maintenance tasks are created automatically on the basis of the task configuration settings and maintenance schedule. All the scheduled maintenance activities get done at the scheduled time. The system produces alarms for overdue tasks. Various maintenance operations handled in the system include Daily Maintenance, and Maintenance Schedule. The system also provides a Daily Maintenance Report and Internal (Maintenance) Stock Consumption Report related to spare parts.
User Interface and Security
Spinning Unit Management System (SUMS) provides an easy-touse graphical user interface (GUI). It also provides a configurable user and operation level security system. The system maintains the history of each season's business activity, allowing the management to conduct year-to-year analysis.
Dashboard
SUMS also provides a live dashboard that helps the management to keep an eye on the whole spinning unit process.
