Impact of Out and Return Migration on Domestic Employment Labor Markets in Pakistan

This study was carried out for the International Labor Organization (ILO) to assist the Government of Pakistan in devising a set of policies for re absorption of returning migrants into the domestic economy. For this purpose field surveys were conducted all over Pakistan and the data compiled and analyzed. A report was prepared on the capability of the existing industrial structure to absorb returning migrants.


Survey of the Contract/Irregular Labor in the Manufacturing Sector

This survey study was conducted on behalf of ILO-ARTEP, in collaboration with the Planning and Development Division, Manpower Section, Government of Pakistan. The survey was carried out for 180 manufacturing units all over Pakistan.


Productivity Trends in the Large Scale Manufacturing Sector in the Punjab

This study, carried out for the Planning Commission, analyzed the changes in efficiency of the use of resources over an 8 year period from 1966-67 to 1975-76. The study was based on the statistical data of about 1400 firms in over 35 industries. The study evaluated growth in productivity.
