Review of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Under SAP
This study, conducted for the MSU, undertook an assessment of the accomplishments against the original objectives for the RWSS sector, focusing on the policy reform agenda agreed under the project. The report identified the remaining constraints to implementation and the lessons learned for use in the design of SAPP-II.
Irrigation Water Charges
Undertook a study initiated by the World Bank on irrigation water and drainage rates. The exercise involved a review of the assessment and collection procedures, identification of O&M expenses that could justifiably be recovered from the farmers, projections of O&M expenditures, the water pricing policy and structure, the pace and the manner in which water rates should be enhanced such that the gap between O&M expenditures and receipts from water can be bridged, proposals for new institutional arrangements for assessment and collection and an examination of the scope for computerization in these areas.
Rural Water Supply and Sanitation
Provided services as an expert on institutional issues in the project appraisal report prepared for the proposed Asian Development Bank project in the Rural Water Supply Sector for the province of Punjab. Inputs included recommendations on institutional structures and arrangements both for the sector and for project implementation.

Financial analysis on a CIDA sponsored and World Bank supervised project aimed at assisting the Provincial Governments in formulating an investment strategy for improving the rural water supply, sanitation and drainage infrastructure. |
