After eight exciting weeks of learning, Systems wrapped the first cycle of Breakthrough77, its learning initiative for technology enthusiasts. A graduation ceremony was held at Systems Campus, Lahore on Tuesday, January 22 to celebrate Breakthrough77’s first graduating batch.

The ceremony started with a few words of appreciation by our Chief Human Resource Officer, Toima Asghar, who thanked the first batch for their participation. “This was a new initiative by the first IT company of Pakistan and we’re glad that it was able to help so many people. Training our employees is part of our job, but we wanted to give back to our society by creating an academy that allows us to share knowledge with the rest of the community. I’d like to thank everyone who has contributed to making our first cycle a success.”

Participants were awarded certificates upon course completion by our Chief Services Officer, Sharjeel Lasharie. “Breakthrough77 was our way of reaching out to the talent in Pakistan and sharing with them what we do best,” said Mr. Sharjeel. Masud Akram, our Head of Digital Commerce also announced his plans of introducing a course on Salesforce for the second cycle of Breakthrough77. Registration dates for the second cycle of Breakhtrough77 courses will be shared in the coming days.

The event proceeded with speeches by the trainers who shared their experiences. “Lack of online training courses for Dynamics 365 and its many verticals is one of the biggest challenges that hinders the development of technology enthusiasts and fresh graduates,” said Salman Pervaiz, Advisory Software Engineer, ERP Implementation Services at Systems. “Systems addressed this issue by designing an entire course outline to teach from a beginner level.”

“It was a great experience, as we not only prepared students for Microsoft’s 70-532: Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions certification, but also covered custom scenarios like moving to cloud infrastructure,” said Usman Ikram Sheikh, Software Engineer, Technology Services at Systems.

Breakthrough77 is a series of immersive technical courses spearheaded by Zohaib Hassan, Assistant Vice President, Human Capital Division at Systems and Ali Gohar Assistant Vice President, Human Capital Division at Systems.  These courses were taught by leading IT professionals at Systems to educate students, graduates, and budding professionals about high quality, innovative, and in-demand technical knowledge and skills. The courses in the first cycle were “Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions”, “Introduction to ERP Development in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations”, and “Design Thinking”.
